Warehouse Assistant / Forklift Operator

Procom Plastics is a family-owned plastic manufacturing business seeking a reliable Warehouse Assistant / Forklift Operator to join our team.

We’re looking for someone with strong forklift skills, excellent attention to detail and a hands‑on approach. Accuracy is essential—you’ll help ensure the correct products and quantities are picked, packed and dispatched to our customers.

Key responsibilities

- Safely operate a forklift to load and unload trucks and move stock throughout the warehouse.
- Accurately pick, pack and prepare customer orders for dispatch.
- Check product codes, quantities and paperwork for incoming and outgoing goods.
- Receive deliveries, organise stock and assist with stocktakes.
- Supply materials to production and move finished products into storage.
- Keep the warehouse clean, organised and protected.




- Follow workplace safety procedures and complete forklift pre‑start checks.

What we’re looking for

- A current LF forklift licence and proven practical operating experience.
- Confident, careful forklift skills and awareness of surrounding people, equipment and stock.
- Strong attention to detail, including accurate counting and checking of orders.
- Ability to safely perform the physical duties of the role, including standing and walking for much of the shift and handling items weighing up to 25 kg, using lifting aids or team assistance where required.
- A reliable, punctual and attentive approach to work.
- Ability to follow instructions, work independently and communicate well with the team.
- Previous warehouse or manufacturing experience.
- Experience handling long lengths or bulky products would be an advantage.
