We're looking for a part-time PR & Communications Coordinator to join us three days a week (school hours friendly), working closely with our Managing Director. No PR degree or communications agency experience required, we're more interested in whether you're organised, reliable, warm on the phone, genuinely curious about the causes we work on, interested in the news and the world around you.

Key responsibilities

Picking up the phone to pitch stories and build relationships with journalists and media contacts

Creating content for clients and for Upstride itself, across social media, websites and other channels

Helping plan and deliver event activations, on the ground and behind the scenes

Keeping things organised - creating plans, meeting notes, records, and the day-to-day coordination that keeps a small agency running smoothly.

About you

No PR degree or agency experience required

Highly organised and reliable - you turn up consistently and follow through on what you commit to

Confident picking up the phone and talking to people you haven't met

A strong writer, happy to learn content creation as you go - photo/video/design skills are a bonus

A genuine interest in the disability sector, public health, youth and community sectors is a plus,



given our client base

Comfortable working independently as part of a small team.

Upstride is an independent, female-led communications agency working in social impact - public health, disability advocacy, setting and the not-for-profit world. We work alongside organisations including Dolly's Dream, Respect Victoria, Disability Advocacy Network Australia, and government health and education departments.
