Housekeeping Supervisor – Part Time (Docklands, Melbourne)

We’re seeking an experienced and motivated Housekeeping Supervisor to lead our housekeeping team at a busy hotel in Docklands, Melbourne . This Part Time position (5 days) across the weekend , providing leadership coverage while our Executive Housekeeper is on days off.
About the Role
Reporting to GIAN Management, you’ll oversee daily housekeeping operations and ensure the highest level of cleanliness, presentation, and guest satisfaction. You’ll lead by example, support your team, and maintain strong communication with hotel management and other departments. During peak periods, you’ll take a hands-on approach , assisting with physical housekeeping duties such as making beds, cleaning rooms, and supporting team members to ensure targets and service standards are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping operations and room allocations
- Create, manage, and adjust staff rosters to meet operational needs and ensure adequate coverage
- Ensure rooms and public areas meet GIAN and client cleanliness standards
- Inspect rooms and common areas for quality assurance and guest readiness
- Train, motivate,
and support team members to achieve performance goals
- Assist with cleaning and room servicing during busy periods or when the team is short-staffed
- Conduct regular stock control, manage supply orders, and maintain housekeeping equipment
- Communicate effectively with Front Office and Maintenance teams regarding room status and guest requests
- Uphold all Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) and quality assurance standards
About You
- Previous experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor or Team Leader (hotel experience preferred)
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Proven ability to manage and allocate staff rosters efficiently
- Hands‑on and proactive approach with attention to detail
- Excellent organisation and time management
- Flexibility to work across weekends and public holidays
- Knowledge of WHS and cleaning procedures
