Reporting directly to the Senior Accountant, the Part time Accountant will be entrusted to work on a variety of Accounting & Taxation clients. This role is particularly well-suited to professionals looking to return to the workforce who are looking for flexibility, understanding, and a workplace that genuinely values balance. Position Type: Part-Time (3 days in office – Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm) with opportunity for more days to be ascertained.

Key responsibilities

- Preparation of Income Tax Returns (including Investment Properties, CGT)
- End of Year Financial Statements for SMEs & SMSFs
- Business and Instalment Activity Statements (BAS & IAS)
- Prompt and accurate client query resolution
- Liaison with ATO and third parties on client matters

About you

- Minimum 5 years of Australian public practice experience
- Bachelor's degree in business/accounting or advanced Diploma in Business/Accounting (TAFE)
- Familiarity with ACCESS HandiSoft preferred




- Proficiency in Cloud and Desktop-based software (Xero, MYOB, Quickbooks, Reckon)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and ability to thrive under pressure
- Effective time management and organizational abilities
- Capability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Australian or NZ citizenship or permanent residency required
