Mars Forklift Services – Wetherill Park NSW

Mars Forklift Services PTY LTD is seeking a dedicated and reliable Yard Hand to join our team in Wetherill Park, NSW. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in maintaining the efficiency and safety of our operations. As a Yard Hand, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day activities of our yard, ensuring that equipment is properly maintained, organised and ready for deployment. This position is essential to keeping our business running smoothly and maintaining the high standards our customers expect from us.

What you'll be doing

- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation throughout the yard, including sweeping, cleaning and organising equipment and materials
- Assisting with the loading and unloading of forklifts and other equipment from delivery vehicles
- Performing routine maintenance checks on equipment, reporting any damage or defects to supervisors. Training provided.
- Moving and positioning equipment within the yard as directed, using appropriate handling techniques
- Supporting the servicing and repair team by gathering tools and materials needed for maintenance tasks
- Maintaining accurate records of equipment movements and yard activities
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
- Operating basic yard equipment such as Sweepers, Scrubbers, hand tools and forklifts.
- Responding promptly to requests from team members and supervisors
- Picking up parts.
- Delivering gas bottle and other hire items to customers site.

What we're looking for

- Proven experience working in a yard,



warehouse or similar operational environment
- A strong commitment to health and safety practices and regulations
- Physical fitness and capability to perform manual labour tasks, including lifting and moving heavy items
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliability and punctuality
- A valid driver's licence.
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
- Ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety protocols
