As a public sector entity, South Gippsland Water is a Victorian Water Corporation responsible for water and wastewater service provision for over 22,000 customers located in 22 towns across a service delivery area of more than 4,000 square kilometres. We manage, maintain, and operate 8 water and 12 wastewater systems.

About The Role

We are currently seeking a suitably qualified person to join SGW as a Manager Risk and Resilience. The key requirements of the role are:

- Demonstrated expertise in enterprise risk management, including the ability to provide strategic advice, facilitate strategic and operational risk reviews, assess control effectiveness and integrate risk into organisational planning and decision-making.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating assurance and internal audit programs, including audit planning & scoping, management responses, action tracking, governance reporting and continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated experience in emergency management and business continuity preparedness, including development and testing of plans, facilitation of exercises, evaluation of performance and implementation of improvement actions.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex annual programs with multiple contributors and fixed deadlines, such as regulatory assurance, audit and organisational preparedness cycles, with robust attention to information quality and governance.
- Highly developed stakeholder engagement, facilitation and influencing skills, with demonstrated ability to provide constructive challenge and communicate complex matters effectively to Board/committee, executive, operational and external audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to lead organisational uplift and embed practical systems, tools and behaviours that strengthen risk culture, accountability and resilience
