We are partnered with an international organisation with a long-term government contract, looking for a Technical Manager to work closely with claims teams, providing technical guidance, coaching and support across complex long-tail claims, along with run process improve projects also.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced liability claims professional who enjoys coaching and developing others, providing technical advice, improving processes and influencing claims outcomes , rather than managing a dedicated claims portfolio.

The role will see you act as a key technical referral point, supporting teams with complex coverage issues, policy interpretation, claims strategy, dispute resolution and settlement negotiations, while also identifying opportunities to improve processes and team capability.

Key responsibilities

- Provide expert advice on complex insurance coverage issues and policy interpretation.
- Act as the key internal referral point for technical and coverage queries.
- Coach and support claims teams on policy interpretation, exclusions and resolution strategies.
- Support claims teams with settlement negotiations and dispute resolution.
- Identify trends,



risks and coverage gaps across the portfolio and provide recommendations.
- Build strong relationships across internal teams, external agencies and key stakeholders.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and enhance claims handling capability.

Skills and Experience

We are looking for someone with strong long-tail claims and technical insurance experience , ideally across areas such as Public Liability, Personal Injury, Sensitive Claims, Property, Motor, Product or Cyber. Previous coaching, mentoring or technical referral experience would be highly regarded.
