Located in the Great Southern Wheatbelt, Lake Grace District High School (DHS) is set in a vibrant and progressive rural community. Students will feel welcome and be inspired to reach their potential in a nurturing and friendly school environment.

We cater for children from Kindergarten to Year 10, with students in Years 11 and 12 being afforded the opportunity to complete their studies in office through the School of Isolated and Distance Education.

The Role

Lake Grace DHS are looking for committed teachers to fill a range of vacancies in Early Childhood Education, Primary and Secondary teaching. Please clearly indicate your qualified teaching area in your application.

Suitable applicants will ideally possess a commitment to developing positive relationships with student, staff, parents and the wider community. Applicants will ideally be flexible, highly motivated, innovative, and able to work effectively in a team environment. As well as possessing an engaging teaching style, applicants should be willing to teach outside their learning area and be willing to bring something new and engaging to our school. Being flexible to suit our context and school needs are highly desirable.

Mobility appointments for permanent metropolitan and south west teachers

Eligible permanent teachers who hold a substantive teaching position in a North or South Education Region school, or a South West Education Region school* may elect to undertake this role as a 3-year mobility appointment, with a right of return to their substantive position. At the cessation of the 3-year mobility appointment, teachers can elect to return to their substantive role, or transfer permanently into this school.

Eligibility

- consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before you start.
