Burra Fabrication is seeking a skilled Boilermaker/Fabricator to join our team on a full-time basis in Pakenham, VIC. In this role, you will be responsible for the fabrication and assembly of Structural Steel, Architectural Metal Products, and other metal Products. This position is critical to our operations, as the quality and precision of your work directly impacts the quality of the products we deliver to our clients.

Key responsibilities

- Fabricate and assemble Structural Steel, Architectural Metal Products, and other metal Products.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate fabrication of components
- Operate and maintain fabrication equipment including welders, Polishers and cutting tools
- Perform inspections and quality checks on completed work to ensure compliance with industry standards and specifications
- Prepare materials and components for fabrication, including marking, cutting, and positioning
- Collaborate with other tradespeople and team members to ensure efficient workflow and project completion
- Maintain a safe and organised work environment, adhering to all health and safety protocols
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and machinery
- Document work completed and maintain accurate records of fabrication processes

What we're looking for

- A recognised qualification in boilermaker/fabrication, such as a trade certificate or apprenticeship completion
- Proven experience working as a boilermaker/fabricator or in a related welding and fabrication role
- Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
- Competency with welding equipment and fabrication machinery, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding
- A thorough understanding of Structural Steel, Architectural Metal Products,



and other metal Products. standards and safety requirements
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Current or the ability to obtain relevant safety certifications and licenses as required by the role
- A valid driver's licence and reliable transportation
- Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual tasks in a workshop environment
- White Card for onsite works.
