Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Longwall Superintendent to join the leadership team at Moranbah North Mine.

This senior operational role is responsible for safely leading the longwall function and delivering consistent production performance. You will coordinate people, equipment and operational priorities while working closely with maintenance, engineering and technical services teams.

This is an prospect for an experienced underground coal mining leader to influence the safety, reliability and performance of a major longwall operation.

Key responsibilities
Provide visible safety leadership across all longwall activities
Lead longwall production teams to achieve safety, production and operational objectives
Coordinate daily and weekly priorities across production, maintenance and technical functions
Monitor longwall performance and respond effectively to changing conditions,



risks and production constraints
Ensure operations comply with legislative requirements, site standards and the Safety and Health Management System
Lead the application and review of operational controls, risk assessments and TARPs
Support longwall planning, panel readiness and protected production activities
Review production performance, equipment availability and shift reporting
Work closely with the Underground Mine Manager, operations leaders, engineering and technical services teams
Build leadership capability through coaching, explicit expectations and constructive feedback
Drive continuous improvement across safety, productivity, reliability and work practices
