About the Role
Learn to Live Disability Services is seeking an experienced, confident and highly organised Manager to join our team on an initial 6-month full-time fixed-term contract, with the opportunity to extend beyond the initial contract period.
This is a key leadership position within the business and would suit someone who is ready to step into an established organisation, take ownership of day-to-day operations and provide strong, consistent leadership across our services.
Working closely with the Director, you will oversee staff, service delivery, participant supports, compliance and operational systems while supporting our leadership and administration teams.
We are looking for someone who doesn't simply identify problems - we want a Manager who can make decisions, implement solutions, hold people accountable and continuously improve the way we operate.
For the right person, there is potential for the position to continue beyond the initial six-month contract.
Key Responsibilities
- Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the organisation
- Leading and supporting Team Leaders, Client Service Officers, administration and support staff
- Ensuring high-quality, person-centred services are delivered to participants
- Monitoring staff performance, conduct and workplace expectations
- Managing performance concerns and supporting disciplinary processes where required
- Supporting recruitment, onboarding, induction and ongoing staff development
- Ensuring appropriate staffing and operational coverage across services
- Overseeing participant service delivery and responding to participant or family concerns
- Monitoring incidents, complaints, risks and corrective actions
- Ensuring participant documentation and organisational records remain current and compliant
- Supporting NDIS Practice Standards, registration requirements and audit readiness
- Monitoring restrictive practice, behaviour support and other higher-risk supports where applicable
- Identifying operational risks and implementing practical solutions
- Reviewing systems and processes and recommending improvements
- Supporting staff training and competency requirements
- Conducting regular leadership and operational meetings
- Working collaboratively with participants, families, support coordinators, allied health professionals and other stakeholders
- Supporting the Director with strategic and operational priorities
- Providing clear reporting on staffing, participants, incidents, compliance and operational performance
About You
We are looking for someone who is:

- Able to make decisions independently and take accountability for outcomes
- Proactive rather than reactive
- Approachable and supportive while maintaining professional boundaries
- Experienced in managing teams within a fast-paced environment
- Confident working within policies, procedures and regulatory requirements
- Able to quickly understand an established organisation and its systems
- Able to identify gaps and implement practical improvements
- An excellent communicator with strong written documentation skills
- Passionate about delivering high-quality disability supports
Essential Requirements
- Previous management or senior leadership experience within disability, community services, health or a related sector
- Strong knowledge of the NDIS and person-centred service delivery
- Understanding of NDIS Practice Standards and provider compliance requirements
- Experience managing staff performance and workplace issues
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Current NDIS Worker Screening clearance
- Current Working with Children/Blue Card where required
- Current First Aid and CPR
- Current Australian driver's licence
Relevant qualifications in Disability, Community Services, Human Services, Management or a related field will be highly regarded.

The Person We're Looking For
Most importantly, we're looking for someone who can take ownership of the role from the outset.
You will be trusted to manage the day-to-day operation of the organisation, support your team, address issues when they arise and keep things moving.
The initial appointment will be for six months , providing an opportunity for both Learn to Live and the successful applicant to build a strong working relationship. There is potential for the position to be extended beyond the initial contract period for the right candidate.
