Conduct comprehensive health assessments and discuss patients’ health concerns, symptoms and treatment goals.
Develop individualised treatment plans based on the patient’s needs and clinical presentation.
Provide acupuncture treatments using sterile, single-use needles at selected points on the body.
Use complementary techniques where appropriately trained, such as cupping, moxibustion, electroacupuncture or acupressure.
Support patients with management of conditions such as musculoskeletal pain, headaches, stress, sleep difficulties and other suitable health concerns.
Monitor patient response to treatment and modify treatment plans as required.
Maintain accurate and confidential clinical records.
Provide appropriate health education and lifestyle advice within scope of practice.
Recognise conditions requiring medical assessment and refer or liaise with GPs and other health specialists when appropriate.
Maintain high standards of infection prevention, patient safety and qualified conduct.
Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
