About the role

This is a Multiskilled Plant Operator role with PlantPro Equipment Hire, operating excavators, posi-tracks/skid steers, tippers and compaction equipment on residential and commercial sites throughout Perth and surrounding areas.

You will complete earthworks including excavation, site cuts, trenching, backfilling, levelling, land clearing, material placement and compaction, as well as site preparation and general civil works. This is a hands-on role that combines machinery operation with general labouring and site duties.

This is a wide-ranging, hands-on role that may also include plant and equipment loading/unloading, customer deliveries, customer relations and branch-based equipment maintenance. Key responsibilities
Operate excavators, posi-tracks/skid steers, tippers and compaction equipment safely and efficiently
Complete earthworks including excavation, site cuts, trenching, backfilling, levelling, material placement and compaction
Carry out residential and commercial site preparation and general civil works
Load, unload and move plant,



equipment and materials around sites
Complete daily pre-starts and basic inspections of machinery
Identify and report equipment faults, damage or maintenance requirements
Work from site plans, levels and instructions provided by supervisors/builders
Assist with general labouring and site duties when machinery operation isn't required
Maintain clean, organised and safe work areas
Represent PlantPro professionally when dealing with builders, supervisors, customers and other contractors

About you
Robust focus on safety and looking after equipment
Reliable, punctual and able to work independently when required
Comfortable working across different sites throughout Perth and surrounding areas
Willing to be hands-on — this is not an operator-only role
Able to follow plans, instructions and site requirements accurately
Good communication and ability to work as part of a small team
Take pride in quality workmanship and leaving sites clean and presentable
Flexible with duties as workloads and projects change
Complete required pre-starts, SWMS/JSA requirements and site documentation
Excavator, skid steer and relevant plant tickets/competencies
