Nosey Neighbour Café is preparing to open in Whittlesea, and we’re looking for cooks and chefs to join our kitchen team.

We’re creating a welcoming neighbourhood café serving quality breakfast, brunch and lunch. Our menu will bring together café favourites and distinctive dishes, with a strong focus on fresh preparation, flavour and consistent presentation.

Working alongside our Head Chef, you’ll help establish a kitchen where people communicate clearly, support each other and take pride in the food they send out.

About the role
Prepare and cook breakfast, brunch and lunch dishes.
Organise prep and keep your section ready for service.
Deliver consistent food quality, portion sizes and presentation.
Maintain a clean, organised kitchen and follow food safety procedures.
Help manage stock rotation and minimise waste.
Work closely with the Head Chef and front-of-house team to keep service running smoothly.

About you

We’re looking for someone with:
Previous experience as a cook or chef in a café, restaurant or similar kitchen.




Strong cooking fundamentals; breakfast and brunch experience will be highly regarded.
The ability to work efficiently and stay organised during busy service.
A reliable, practical approach and clear communication.
A positive attitude, willingness to take feedback and respect for the team.
Pride in maintaining high standards, from preparation through to plating.

Pay: $52,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year
