About the role

This is more than a scheduling position.

As our Production Planner, you will be at the centre of our manufacturing operation, translating customer demand into achievable production plans that balance machine capacity, labour, tooling, material availability, maintenance requirements and inventory objectives.

Reporting to the Production Manager, you will work closely with Production, Supply Chain, Maintenance, Moulding, Customer Service and Operations to ensure production priorities are clear, achievable and aligned with customer delivery commitments.

The role requires someone who can see the bigger picture while maintaining strong control of the detail, anticipating constraints,



responding to changing priorities and ensuring risks are identified and escalated before they impact production or customers.

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

- Developing, maintaining and communicating daily, weekly, monthly and rolling production schedules aligned to customer demand and available capacity.

- Translating customer orders and forecasts into achievable production plans that support DIFOT and customer delivery commitments.

- Sequencing production runs to maximise machine efficiency and minimise changeovers, scrap and downtime.

- Balancing machine capacity, labour availability, tooling, material supply and maintenance requirements when developing production plans.

- Monitoring raw materials, labels, packaging and finished goods requirements, identifying shortages and excess inventory risks and coordinating requirements with Supply Chain.

- Monitoring production performance against schedule, replanning where required and proactively escalating risks to customer delivery or schedule attainment.

- Maintaining accurate production planning data within the ERP/MRP system.

- Working across Production, Moulding, Maintenance, Supply Chain and Customer Service to manage changing priorities and operational requirements.

- Identifying opportunities to improve planning accuracy, inventory performance and overall operational efficiency.

About you





You will enjoy solving problems, working with data and bringing structure to a complex manufacturing environment.

You will be comfortable balancing competing priorities, making fact-based planning decisions and working collaboratively across different functions to keep production moving.

To be successful, you will bring:

- Minimum 3 years' experience in production planning, scheduling, supply planning or manufacturing operations.

- Strong ERP/MRP system experience.

- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and confidence working with data.

- Strong understanding of production scheduling, capacity planning and inventory management principles.

- Excellent organisational and time management skills.

- Strong communication and stakeholder management capability.

- High attention to detail and accuracy.

- A proactive, practical and solutions-focused approach.

- The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Experience within injection moulding, plastics manufacturing, food packaging or FMCG will be highly regarded.

Experience with DELMIAWorks (IQMS) and an understanding of OEE, food safety and quality management systems will also be advantageous.
