Fire Industry Academy is looking for an elite technical expert in passive fire and smoke management to join us in a brand-new leadership role. We want your industry brain — we'll teach you the education side! You'll become the “go‑to” technical authority for passive fire protection across our academy.

The Opportunity

In this varied and highly rewarding leadership role, you'll become the trusted technical authority on passive fire and smoke management systems. You'll help design educational materials, host industry webinars, provide high‑level technical advice and train the next generation of fire protection professionals.





You don't need a training qualification to start — we fund and support your Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE) once you join.

What You'll Do

- Share your deep knowledge of passive fire protection by running training courses, seminars and webinars.
- Develop and update modern, industry‑relevant educational materials and assessments for passive fire and smoke management systems.
- Provide direct student support and mark assessments.
- Act as a trusted technical advisor and technical lead to the wider fire protection industry on passive fire protection.

Your Technical Expertise

Your foundational expertise must be in passive fire protection or fire systems certification. Beyond this, we'd love to see practical experience in one or more of the following:

- Passive fire and smoke management systems.
- Fire systems certification.
- Fire safety assessments and annual certification.
- Routine inspection and testing of systems and equipment.
- Mechanical smoke management systems.

What You'll Bring

- Deep, hands‑on expertise in passive fire and smoke management systems.
- Technical leadership experience or the aptitude to lead and mentor others.
- A genuine passion for your trade and for raising standards across the industry.
- Strong communication skills — written and verbal.
- No Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE)? No problem — we'll fund and support you to complete it.
- Full working rights in Australia.
