IQ Fire is a growing fire protection company based in Keysborough, Victoria, specialising in the design and delivery of fire sprinkler systems for commercial, warehouse, logistics, and industrial projects. We are looking for an experienced Fire Sprinkler Designer to join our team and play an important role in delivering high-quality sprinkler designs.

About the Role

As a Fire Sprinkler Designer at IQ Fire, you will work closely with project managers, engineers, clients, builders, and installation teams to develop practical, compliant, and construction-ready sprinkler designs. The role will primarily involve warehouse and large-scale commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities

Design fire sprinkler systems for warehouses, distribution centres, logistics facilities, and commercial developments.

Produce detailed sprinkler layouts and construction/shop drawings using AutoCAD.

Prepare hydraulic calculations using HYENA hydraulic calculation software.

Interpret architectural, structural, and engineering drawings.

Design systems in accordance with AS 2118 and relevant Australian FM Global Standards.

Coordinate sprinkler services with structural, mechanical, electrical, and other building services.

Liaise with project managers, engineers, consultants, builders, and site teams.

Review and modify designs to accommodate project requirements and construction changes.





Assist with design solutions for site issues and provide technical support throughout construction.

Prepare as-built drawings and documentation.

Manage multiple projects while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.

We are looking for an experienced designer who has:

Experience with commercial, warehouse, logistics, or industrial projects.

Strong knowledge of sprinkler system design and hydraulic principles.

Valuable understanding of AS 2118 requirements.

Experience using HYENA for hydraulic calculations.

Some knowledge or experience with Revit would be highly regarded.

The ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.

Strong attention to detail and a practical approach to design.

Excellent communication and coordination skills.

The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
