Werribee Sand Soil and Mini Mix is seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver, Tipper to join our team on a casual basis. Based in Werribee VIC 3030, this role is integral to our operations within the road transport and logistics sector. As a Tipper Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting and delivering sand, soil, and aggregates to customers across the region. This position offers flexibility for those seeking casual work whilst maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism on the road.

Key responsibilities

n

Operate tipper trucks safely and efficiently to transport sand, soil, and mini mix materials to customer sites

n

Ensure loads are secured properly and distributed according to weight regulations and safety standards

n

Perform pre-operation vehicle checks to ensure the truck is mechanically sound and protected for use

n

Navigate routes effectively, managing time to meet delivery schedules and customer expectations

n

Operate tipper mechanisms to discharge loads at designated locations, following site-specific instructions

n

Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption

n

Comply with all road rules, traffic regulations, and heavy vehicle legislation

n

Communicate professionally with customers and site supervisors regarding delivery details and any issues

n

Report any mechanical faults or safety concerns immediately to management

n

Maintain a clean and well-maintained vehicle interior and exterior

n

What we're looking for

n

Current and valid Heavy Rigid (HR) or Heavy Combination (HC) driver's licence

n

Proven experience operating tipper trucks in the transport and logistics industry

n

Strong understanding of load management, weight distribution, and securing procedures

n





Excellent knowledge of road safety regulations and heavy vehicle compliance requirements

n

Demonstrated ability to perform vehicle pre-operation inspections and basic maintenance checks

n

Reliability and punctuality, with the ability to meet delivery schedules consistently

n

Strong communication skills and professional attitude when dealing with customers and colleagues

n

High level of safety awareness and commitment to accident-free driving

n

Ability to work independently whilst following company procedures and instructions

n

Flexibility to work casual shifts as required by business demand

n

Experience with manual tipper controls and hydraulic systems is advantageous

n

Working With Children Check (WWCC) or National Police Clearance is preferred
