Absolute Tiling & Stone (ATS), part of the Versatile Group, is a values-driven specialist contractor delivering premium tiling and stonework across major residential, retail, mixed-use, defence and education projects.

With a team of 80+ people and a strong pipeline of work ahead, we are seeking an experienced Project Manager to take ownership of tiling and stone packages from tender handover through to completion.

n

This is an approximately 80% office-based / 20% site-based role, combining project management, commercial coordination, technical delivery and site leadership.

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Manage tiling and stone projects from tender handover through to completion and defects close-out.
n
- Review scopes, tender documentation and drawings to develop effective project delivery strategies.
n
- Manage programs, sequencing, procurement and resource planning.
n
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, materials and site activities.
n
- Liaise with builders, head contractors, consultants, architects and internal project teams.
n
- Coordinate shop drawings, RFIs, approvals and project documentation.
n
- Monitor budgets, costs, variations, progress claims and supplier invoices.
n
- Conduct site inspections and quality checks to ensure works meet project requirements, Australian Standards and ATS benchmarks.
n
- Promote solid WHSE standards and a proactive zero-harm culture.
n
- Manage project reporting, defects and close-out requirements.
n




- Build strong relationships with clients, builders, subcontractors and suppliers.
n

About You

n

You are organised, proactive and commercially minded, with the ability to take ownership of projects and coordinate multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced construction environment.

n

This opportunity could suit someone currently working as a:

n

- Project Manager or Project Engineer
n
- Experienced tradesperson who has progressed off the tools
n

n

We are looking for:

n

n
- 3–5+ years' experience in project management, project engineering, site supervision or construction delivery.
n
- Experience in tiling, stone, finishes or specialist subcontracting is highly regarded, with broader construction experience also considered.
n
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing and subcontractor management.
n
- Experience managing budgets, variations, procurement and project costs.
n
- Strong communication, negotiation, leadership and problem-solving skills.
n
- Good understanding of WHSE, Australian Standards and construction requirements.
n
- Construction Management, Engineering or related qualifications are preferred but not essential where equivalent industry experience can be demonstrated.
n
- Experience with Procore, Aconex, Payapps, Jobpac, Buildlogic or MS Project will be highly regarded.
