Exciting opportunity for a well-experienced Systemic Root Cause Analysis Specialist

Support an enterprise remediation portfolio review and systemic root cause analysis initiative

6 month approx. temporary assignment

Government sector - southern suburbs location

In office parking

Potential for some hybrid working depending on business requirements at the time (minimum 3 days on-site)

Hourly rate negotiable commensurate with experience

Your Role Overview:

This role involves reviewing and analysing a large portfolio of corrective actions, findings, incidents and audit observations to identify systemic contributors, validate remediation intent and effectiveness, and recommend practical pathways to sustainable closure.

The review will span the enterprise open-item portfolio rather than a single business area. This includes actions, findings, incidents, audit observations and corrective actions across the organisation. The focus is less on a particular technical domain and more on understanding whether remediation activities are addressing the underlying risk, control weakness or organisational issue they were originally intended to resolve.





Required Skills & Experience:

Strong investigative and analytical capability with proven ability to synthesise complex and unstructured information, identify patterns and relationships across diverse sources, and develop evidence-based recommendations

You will be able to demonstrate that you can work through ambiguity, understand underlying organisational issues, distinguish causes from symptoms, and help improve the effectiveness of remediation activities across the enterprise

Relevant background in either risk and assurance, internal audit, quality management, business analysis, operational excellence, safety investigation, regulatory compliance or similar disciplines within highly regulated or complex operating environments.

Relevant tertiary qualifications
