Our client is a large, well-established Australian organisation with a strong national footprint. As they continue to invest in building out a high-performing, best-practice procurement function, they are looking for a Procurement Specialist to complement the team.

About The Role
n The role will support a range of indirect categories, Technology-related spend remains part of the remit, but there is a growing focus on corporate services-related categories too. It's a great next step for someone who already has solid procurement experience and is looking to build deeper category ownership, working alongside a team that will support your personal growth.

Key responsibilities include:

n

- Supporting and leading sourcing activity across a mix of indirect categories
n
- Running competitive market engagements, from planning through to negotiation and contract execution
n
- Building strong working relationships with stakeholders across the business
n
- Contributing to category strategies that reflect evolving business priorities and spend patterns
n
- Supporting broader procurement projects, including platform selection processes and agency/vendor engagements as they arise
n
- Helping identify and deliver commercial value through smarter sourcing decisions and more effective contract management
n
- Developing your understanding of procurement governance and policy, and applying this consistently across your category areas
n

About You
n The successful candidate will bring strong generalist indirect procurement experience, with the ability to work comfortably across multiple spend categories rather than being restricted to one specialist are - technology experience would be highly regarded.

Key Capabilities:

n

- Existing procurement or sourcing experience, ideally with exposure to indirect categories
n
- A genuine interest in working across categories
n
- Strong sourcing fundamentals and a solid grasp of commercial and contract basics
n
- Superbstakeholder engagement skills, with the confidence to build relationships across different parts of the business
n
- A proactive, detail-oriented approach and a willingness to take on more ownership as you grow in the role
n
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
