A large, privately owned Australian services organisation is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join the business on a 12-15 month fixed-term contract. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will take ownership of a broad finance remit across financial reporting, year-end, audit, treasury, controls and team leadership, while also having the opportunity to bring fresh ideas and external perspective to a business continuing to grow and evolve. With approximately $1 billion in annual revenue, a national footprint and a highly stable finance team, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Controller who enjoys being both strategic and hands-on.

- Leading monthly financial reporting and month-end processes.
n
- Coordinating year-end reporting and the external audit.
n
- Overseeing statutory and income tax compliance processes.
n
- Managing treasury, cash flow forecasting and banking relationships.
n
- Reviewing and strengthening financial controls and processes.
n
- Supporting commercial and credit reviews for new customers.
n
- Leading, reviewing and mentoring a developing accounting team.
n
- Supporting finance activities across a national branch network.
n
- Partnering closely with the CFO on broader finance and business matters.
n
- Contributing to ongoing systems, data and finance transformation.
n

This is a broad,



hands-on role where you will remain close to the detail while operating as a senior member of the finance leadership team.

About you n

You will be an experienced Financial Controller who can quickly establish credibility and take ownership of a complex finance function. You will bring:

- Proven Financial Controller experience within a medium-to-large organisation.
n
- Strong financial reporting, month-end and year-end capability.
n
- Experience managing external audit and statutory reporting.
n
- Treasury and cash flow management experience.
n
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
n
- Experience within services, contracting, infrastructure, project-based would be advantageous.
