Port Macquarie Golf Club is well known for its Championship 18-hole golf course with an average of 70,000 rounds of golf played every year. We are seeking Greenkeepers to work with our friendly, safe and hardworking team on a Casual, part time or full-time basis. Your week would give you the flexibility to enjoy the beautiful Port Macquarie afternoons and evenings. For the keen golfer, a club membership can be negotiated into your above award package.

The Role

n

n
- Maintenance of all turf areas on the course to a high standard, inclusive of greens, tees, surrounds, bunkers, fairways, roughs and out of play areas
n
- Proficient in course set-up.
n
- Mentor and guide the career development of all apprentices.
n




- Carry out turf renovation, including scarifying, coring, dethatching, and sanding as required
n
- Assist in any other areas on the club's property as directed by the Course Superintendent
n
- Safely apply pesticides and fertilizers when required
n
- Irrigation management
n
- Use of agronomic course requirements to set course maintenance
n
- Follow and implement safe workplace practices
n

Experience

- Competent to work alone and as part of a team
n
- Display robust attention to detail in their work
n
- Relevant experience in golf course maintenance.
n
- Excellent work history and reliability.
n
- Positive, enthusiastic and team-oriented attitude.
n

The position is to include being rostered over the weekends.
