We are partnering with a well-established Australian manufacturer operating within the pharmaceutical and healthcare manufacturing industry, with a strong focus on product quality, safety, and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).

ABOUT THE ROLE

n

We currently have an opportunity for a permanent Production Operator to join a busy manufacturing environment. This is a long-term permanent position with our client, offering the opportunity to develop your skills and build a career within the production team.

n

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting filling and packing operations while ensuring products are manufactured efficiently, safely, and in accordance with GMP, OHS requirements, and company procedures.

n

This role will suit someone with previous experience in pharmaceutical, food manufacturing, filling, packing, or semi-automated production environments who is comfortable operating machinery and working to strict quality standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

n

n
- Perform line clearances and line preparations before production runs.
n
- Operate filling, capping, labelling, printing, shrink-wrapping, taping, and other production equipment.
n
- Set up and start bottle filling, tube filling, cartoning, and packing lines where required.
n
- Receive and count packaging components supplied from the warehouse.
n
- Prepare packaging materials for production and return unused materials to the warehouse.
n
- Identify and attach status labels to bulk, packaging, and finished goods.
n




- Transfer completed finished goods to the warehouse.
n
- Assist with transferring required raw materials to the dispensing area.
n
- Perform batch and product changeovers efficiently and according to production requirements.
n
- Complete product and packaging reconciliation duties and assist with investigations when required.
n
- Monitor production equipment and report any faults, unsafe conditions, or equipment issues to the Production Supervisor or Team Leader.
n
- Troubleshoot and investigate production issues where required.
n
- Complete production activities in accordance with GMP, SOPs, and production procedures.
n
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe production area at all times.
n
- Work closely with the Production Supervisor and Production Team Leader to achieve production and quality targets.
n

WHAT WE'R LOOKING FOR:

n

n
- Minimum 1 year of experience in pharmaceutical, food manufacturing, production, filling, or packaging environments is highly regarded.
n
- Previous experience operating semi-automated filling, packing, or manufacturing machinery.
n
- Strong understanding of quality, safety, and workplace procedures.
n
- Ability to follow GMP, SOPs, and detailed production instructions.
n
- Good attention to detail, particularly when working with batch and product information.
n
- Ability to perform basic machine setup, adjustments, and troubleshooting.
n
- Good English communication skills, including the ability to read and follow written procedures.
n
- Physically capable of performing production and manual handling duties.
n
- Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work effectively within a team.
n
- Willingness to learn and adapt to different production processes and equipment.
