About the position
n
We're looking for support workers who enjoy helping people build independence, confidence and genuine community connections.
n
You'll be an important part of our team, valued for your unique strengths rather than treated as just a number. We'll provide the guidance and support you need to feel confident and comfortable from day one.
n
Your days will be diverse and rewarding as you support people to live full and meaningful lives, including:
n

- Motivating people to pursue their goals and ambitions
n
- Taking people out into the community and participating in community events and activities together
n
- Driving people to community events, appointments and shopping
n
- Supporting people to achieve their individual goals in line with their person-centered support plan
n
- Building people's capacity to perform domestic duties such as with cooking, cleaning, laundry and general tidying
n
- Assisting people with their personal hygiene and specific care needs
n
- Performing within your scope of practice and training level
n
- Maintain positive professional relationships and communications between clients and fellow staff members
n
n
What you'll need
n
n
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
n
- Ability to show initiative and problem solve as required
n
- Drivers license and insurance
n
- First Aid & CPR (or willing to obtain)
n
- Disability Worker Screening & Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain)
n
n
