We are looking for a highly organised and detail-focused Production & Garment Tech Assistant to join our growing product team.

This is a hands‑on role responsible for supporting the development and production of our collections from initial samples through to bulk production. You will work closely with our design, product and production teams, as well as our international supplier network, to ensure products are developed to a high standard, delivered on time and meet Elliatt’s fit and quality expectations.

The ideal candidate has strong garment technical knowledge, excellent attention to detail and confidence communicating with suppliers. You will be comfortable managing multiple styles and deadlines, chasing progress and proactively identifying issues before they become problems.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage day‑to‑day communication with local and international suppliers and factories across product development and production.
- Build strong supplier relationships while proactively following up on pricing, lead times, minimums, samples, fabrics, trims and production requirements.
- Track supplier commitments and production progress against the critical path, identifying and escalating delays or risks early.
- Assist with costing, production quantities, purchase orders and ensuring accurate production information is communicated.

Sample Management

- Manage and track samples from initial development through to final approval, ensuring key deadlines are met.
- Coordinate sample comments, amendments and approvals with suppliers, following up on outstanding corrections.
- Maintain accurate sample tracking and proactively identify development or production issues.

Garment Technical / Fit

- Measure and review garments against approved specifications, assisting with fittings, measurement reports and grading.
- Communicate fit, construction and technical amendments clearly to suppliers.




- Review samples and production garments for fit, construction, workmanship and consistency against approved standards.

Quality Control

- Conduct quality checks across samples and bulk production, identifying issues with fit, construction, fabric, trims and finishing.
- Work closely with suppliers to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure production meets Elliatt’s approved specifications and quality expectations, escalating significant issues where required.

Critical Path & Administration

- Manage and maintain production trackers, style statuses and key development milestones.
- Monitor critical dates including sample ETAs, approvals, PP samples, production commencement and ex‑factory dates.
- Proactively flag styles at risk of missing deadlines and communicate risks, delays and actions to the wider team.
- Maintain accurate technical and production documentation while supporting the Product and Design teams.

About You

You will be a proactive and commercially minded product professional who enjoys working in a fast‑paced fashion environment.

You will have:

- 1–4 years' experience in garment production, garment technology, product development or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of garment construction, fit and manufacturing processes.
- Experience working directly with overseas suppliers and factories.
- Strong garment measuring and grading skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high standard of quality.
- Strong organisational and time‑management skills.




- Confidence negotiating and communicating with suppliers.
- The ability to manage multiple styles, suppliers and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A proactive approach, you don't wait for problems to arise before taking action.
- Commercial awareness and an understanding of cost, quality and delivery trade‑offs.
- Solid Excel and general computer skills.
- Experience working with PLM, product development or fashion production systems is advantageous.
