We are now looking for an experienced and motivated Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team.

The Role

n

Working alongside our Head Chef and experienced kitchen team, you will be responsible for running your section efficiently and helping maintain the high standards Assaggini is known for.

n

This is a great opportunity for a passionate chef who enjoys working with Italian food, takes pride in their work and wants to be part of a friendly, established Mornington venue.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and execute a modern Italian menu to a consistently high standard
n
- Lead, train, and motivate kitchen team members
n
- Manage food quality, presentation, and portion control
n
- Oversee ordering, stock control, and cost management
n




- Maintain compliance with all food safety and hygiene requirements
n
- Collaborate with management to create seasonal, produce-driven dishes
n
- Assist with rostering, workflow planning, and daily kitchen operations
n
- Foster a professional, supportive, and effective kitchen environment
n
- Ensure excellent communication with front-of-house and other departments
n

About You

- Minimum 3+ years' experience in a similar role
n
- Strong knowledge of Italian cuisine and modern cooking techniques
n
- Proven leadership and team-building abilities
n
- Reliable, creative, and passionate about quality food
n
- Excellent attention to detail and presentation
n
- Ability to perform under pressure while maintaining standards
n
- Commitment to consistency, cleanliness, and professionalism
