About the Role

n

The housekeeping team plays an important role in creating a clean, comfortable and welcoming environment for our guests. You will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of guest rooms, bathrooms and common areas to a high standard.

n

Working in the housekeeping role, you will work as part of a team in a fast-paced hostel environment, meet people from all walks of life and help create a positive experience for our guests. You will need to be organised, reliable and take pride in your work, while being able to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.

The role is hands-on and active, with a variety of daily tasks including cleaning rooms and bathrooms, making beds, maintaining common areas and responding to the changing needs of a busy hostel.

Position is causal and paid under the hospitality award

n

What you will do

n

Clean guest rooms, bathrooms and common areas to a high standard

n

Make beds and prepare rooms for incoming guests

n

Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely

n

Follow cleaning procedures, OH&S; and safety requirements

n





Complete daily shift-based tasks efficiently

n

Communicate professionally with guests and team members

n

Work as part of the housekeeping team and support other departments when required

n

Report maintenance issues, damages or hazards

n

About you

n

Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is preferred but not essential

n

A positive, reliable and hardworking attitude

n

Good attention to detail and pride in your work

n

Ability to work efficiently and manage multiple tasks

n

Comfortable with physical and fast-paced work

n

Able to work independently and as part of a team

n

Versatile availability, able to work days, evenings, including weekends and public holidays

n

Good communication skills and a friendly approach to guests

n

Have working rights in Australia

n

Ability to work 20 - 30 hours a week

n
