Internal Sales Coordinator Steel Manufacturing | Customer Service & Order Coordination | TEMP-PERM FULL TIME HOURS

We are seeking a friendly, organised and customer-focused Internal Sales Coordinator to join an established manufacturing business supplying steel products to customers across a range of industries.

This is a busy, hands-on role where you will be responsible for managing customer orders from initial enquiry through to delivery. You'll work closely with customers, production and transport teams to ensure orders are processed accurately, queries are responded to promptly and customers are kept informed throughout the process.

About the Role

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

- Receiving and processing customer orders via phone and email
- Checking stock availability within the system before confirming orders
- Liaising with production teams when stock is unavailable or needs to be manufactured
- Providing customers with accurate estimated production and delivery dates
- Keeping customers updated on the progress of their orders
- Responding to customer enquiries and order queries within required timeframes, with a target response time of no longer than four hours
- Processing and issuing customer invoices
- Coordinating transport and delivery of completed orders
- Maintaining accurate customer and order information within internal systems
- Working closely with production, warehouse, transport and other internal departments




- Providing general administration and customer service support as required

About You

We are looking for someone who is friendly, approachable and genuinely enjoys working as part of a team .

Ideally, you will have previous experience in an internal sales, customer service, order processing or administration position within a commercial, manufacturing, industrial, building products or similar environment .

You will also bring:

- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- The ability to manage multiple customer orders and priorities at once
- A proactive approach to following up outstanding orders and enquiries
- Confidence communicating with customers by both phone and email
- Excellent computer skills and the ability to quickly learn new systems
- Robust attention to detail when processing orders and invoices
- The ability to communicate effectively with production and operational teams
- A positive attitude and willingness to help others
- Reliability and a strong team-focused approach

This position would suit someone who understands that good customer service is about more than simply taking an order. You will take ownership of customer enquiries, follow orders through the production and delivery process, and make sure customers receive clear and timely communication when stock or delivery dates change.
