Senior Software Engineer - Front End - Sydney or Melbourne

We're on the lookout for an experienced Senior Software Engineer with a strong Front-End focus to join a fast-growing engineering team at an ASX-listed business.

The Role

n

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for:

n

n
- Building, modernising and improving customer-facing digital products.
n
- Designing, developing and maintaining scalable software solutions, with a robust focus on React.js and modern front-end development.
n
- Leading technical design discussions and contributing to architectural decisions for major features
n
- Building high-quality, performant and maintainable applications across the front end and broader technology stack
n
- Collaborating closely with Product Managers and stakeholders to refine requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions
n
- Reviewing code, providing constructive feedback and helping maintain high engineering standards
n
- Identifying and addressing technical debt, performance issues and system bottlenecks
n
- Championing engineering best practices, including testing, CI/CD and DevOps
n
- Working within an Agile engineering environment and contributing to continuous improvement
n
- Supporting and mentoring junior engineers,



helping develop technical capability across the team
n
- Leveraging AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery and improve code quality
n
- Helping the engineering team adopt responsible and effective use of AI coding tools and LLM integrations
n

What You'll Bring:

n

n
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience
n
- Strong understanding of front-end architecture, performance optimisation, design patterns and modern engineering practices
n
- Experience with an object-oriented programming language (C#.NET preferably)
n
- Experience working with cloud platforms, ideally Azure, AWS or GCP
n
- Solid experience with SQL Server and Redis
n
- Understanding of microservices and event-driven architecture
n
- Experience with test-driven development and modern CI/CD practices
n
- Experience working in Agile development environments
n
- Hands on experience using AI-assisted development tools
n
- Experience integrating LLM APIs or AI-powered features into production applications is highly desirable
n
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms and software design principles
n
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with engineering, product and business stakeholders
