About the Role

Provide HSE support to our Nifty Copper Project, working closely with leaders and crews to enable safe, efficient and compliant delivery.

Responsibilities

- Ensuring effective implementation and compliance to the systems and processes outlined in the HSEQ Management Plan;
- Provide HSEQ Management Systems mentoring and guidance to leaders and workers;




- Assisting with accident / incident investigations, lead and lag indicators as required;
- Facilitating risk assessments to support operations and their ability to control and reduce risks across our activities;
- Maintaining and reviewing site corrective action and hazard reporting processes;
- Completing site inspections and audits in line with the group annual safety planner and site-based activity planners
- Assisting supervision with the injury management and return to work processes; and
- Monitoring the mental health of our people and referring them to the EAP services as needed.

What You’llBring

- Previous surface mining experience in a similar role, accompanied by tertiary qualification in Occupational Health and Safety;
- Working knowledge of the Mines Safety Inspection Act (WA) and similar legislation in other states;
- Experience in HSEQ management systems and able implement HSEQ management plan deliverables;
- Qualification in incident investigation methodology, such as ICAM;
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication and engagement skills;
- Senior First Aid Certificate; and
- Current Manual "C" Class WA Drivers Licence or equivalent
