Sarkaria Autozone is seeking a skilled and reliable full-time Motor Mechanic to join our team in Truganina, Victoria. This role is essential to ensuring high-quality vehicle servicing, maintenance, and repair work while maintaining safety and customer satisfaction standards.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults in a wide range of vehicles using diagnostic equipment and technical tools
- Carrying out repairs and maintenance on engines, transmissions, braking systems, suspension, and steering components
- Conducting routine servicing, including oil changes, filter replacements, and general vehicle inspections
- Dismantling and reassembling vehicle components and engines as required
- Testing and adjusting mechanical parts after repair to ensure proper performance and safety
- Performing scheduled maintenance services in accordance with manufacturer specifications
- Inspecting vehicles to identify wear and damage and recommending appropriate repairs
- Ensuring all work complies with workplace health and safety regulations and industry standards
- Maintaining accurate records of work performed, parts used, and service schedules
- Ordering and managing spare parts and workshop supplies as required
- Keeping the workshop clean, organised,



and compliant with safety standards
- Communicating effectively with customers regarding vehicle issues, repair timelines, and costs
- Assisting in training and mentoring junior mechanics or apprentices when required

Position Requirements

The successful candidate must meet the following criteria:

- Hold a Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent qualification
- Have at least 1 year of relevant work experience as a Motor Mechanic
- Solid knowledge of vehicle systems, diagnostics, and repair techniques
- Ability to use diagnostic tools and workshop equipment effectively
- Sound understanding of workplace health and safety practices
- Strong problem-solving and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Availability to work flexible hours if required
- Commitment to long-term employment
