Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Store Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of our Perth Vic Park store. The Store Manager will be responsible for managing the operational flow of the store, training staff and maintaining product quality, while organising and controlling all aspects of the store's retail operations.

Key responsibilities

- Managing the operational flow of the store day to day, including deciding the daily dessert and beverage line-up, ingredient and stock quantities and rostered service standards so the store runs smoothly during peak and quiet periods
n
- Liaising with suppliers to arrange the purchase of fresh and specialty ingredients, and working with the owners on seasonal menu additions, promotional pricing and everyday pricing across the menu
n
- Building the store's local following through in-store promotions, social media content and community events
n
- Serving customers at the counter, recommending menu items to new customers, explaining ingredients and resolving customer feedback or complaints
n
- Maintaining product quality by checking that every dessert leaving the store is made strictly to Homm's proprietary recipes, with consistent taste, texture and presentation
n
- Reconciling the till at the end of each shift and keeping stock counts and wastage records for ingredients and packaging
n
- Preparing and tracking the store's operating budget, including wage costs and ingredient spend, against daily and weekly sales targets
n
- Training staff by recruiting,



rostering and coaching kitchen and front-of-house team members in Homm's dessert preparation techniques, presentation standards and customer service approach

- Keeping the store compliant with food safety and workplace health and safety obligations expected of a food and beverage retailer

About you

n

n
- An AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma in a relevant field
n
- At least one year of relevant experience in retail or hospitality management
n
- Demonstrated experience managing a retail or food/hospitality outlet, including staff supervision, stock control and financial record-keeping
n
- Strong customer service, communication and leadership skills
n
- Sound understanding of, or willingness to comply with, food safety and occupational health and safety requirements
n
- Availability to work flexible schedule, including weekends and public holidays, as required in a retail environment
