Mr McCracken is seeking an experienced full-time Pizza Chef to take ownership of our busy pizza section at Essendon Fields.
Our pizzas are made using 100% sourdough , so the successful candidate must have genuine experience with dough production, fermentation and hand stretching. This is a high-volume venue, requiring someone who can maintain speed, consistency and quality throughout busy services. Oven is a Electric pizza master deck oven.
Key responsibilities
Prepare and manage 100% sourdough pizza dough
Monitor fermentation, proofing and dough quality
Hand stretch and shape pizzas consistently
Cook pizzas accurately during high-volume services
Take ownership of pizza-section preparation, service and pack-down
Maintain consistent portioning, presentation and cooking standards
Assist with ordering, stock rotation and waste control
Maintain excellent food-safety and kitchen-cleanliness standards
Work closely with the Head Chef and wider kitchen team
Support restaurant, function and event services as required
About you
Previous experience as a Pizza Chef
Confident hand stretching pizza dough
Proven ability to work efficiently in a high-volume kitchen
Solid organisation, timing and attention to detail
Calm, reliable and consistent under pressure
Able to maintain quality and speed during peak service periods
Positive and team-focused attitude
Available across weekdays, evenings and weekends
