Due to continued business growth, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Painter to join our team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a broad range of painting and decorating duties across residential and commercial projects while maintaining high workmanship and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

- Prepare surfaces for painting by scraping, sanding, patching and cleaning.
n
- Apply paints, varnishes, stains and other protective coatings to a variety of surfaces.
n
- Mix and match paints and finishes to achieve required colours and specifications.
n
- Fill cracks and holes and perform minor surface repairs.
n
- Erect and work safely from ladders, scaffolding and elevated platforms where required.
n
- Protect surrounding areas and ensure work sites are maintained in a clean and safe condition.
n
- Read and interpret job specifications and client requirements.
n
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and within project timelines.
n
- Adhere to workplace health and safety policies and procedures.

About you

n

n
- At least 2 years of relevant full-time work experience as a Painter, and/or a relevant qualification.
n
- Demonstrated knowledge of painting techniques, tools and materials.
n
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
n
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
n
- Good communication and organisational skills.
n
- A valid driver's licence is desirable.
