Peninsula Products is looking for a reliable, hands-on mechanic or service technician to maintain and repair our specialist concrete grinding and polishing equipment.

n

This is primarily a workshop-based role working across grinders, industrial dust extractors, generators and related hire equipment. You'll also occasionally assist with equipment deliveries, collections and customer demonstrations when additional driving capacity is required.

n

Concrete-flooring experience is not essential—we can teach you the machinery and applications.

n

About the role

n

Your responsibilities will include:

n

n
- Diagnosing mechanical and equipment faults
n
- Servicing and repairing our hire fleet
n
- Replacing bearings, belts, motors, cables, switches and other components
n
- Completing preventative maintenance and off-hire inspections
n
- Testing equipment and ensuring it is safe and ready for hire
n
- Recording repairs, parts used and outstanding faults
n
- Maintaining spare-parts stock and an organised workshop
n
- Preparing equipment for upcoming bookings
n
- Assisting with deliveries, collections and demonstrations when required
n




- Working with the team to prioritise urgent repairs and hire requirements
n

About you

n

You may come from equipment hire, mechanical fitting, small-engine repair, power-tool servicing, plant machinery or another hands-on mechanical environment.

n

We're looking for someone who has:

n

n
- Strong mechanical fault-finding and repair skills
n
- Experience servicing machinery, tools or equipment
n
- A practical and methodical approach to problem-solving
n
- Valuable organisation and record-keeping habits
n
- A strong focus on safety and equipment presentation
n
- A full Victorian driver's license
n
- Confidence towing trailers and transporting machinery
n
- The ability to work independently and as part of a small team
n
- Clear, respectful communication and a willingness to accept direction
n
- A reliable and professional attitude
n

A relevant trade qualification and White Card would be advantageous but are not essential for the right person.
