Advanced Molecular Technologies Pty Ltd (AMT) is an Australian biotech and R&D; company seeking enthusiastic and motivated Chemists to support our up-and-coming CRO linked projects on a 6 – 12 month full-time basis. This is a hands‐on role suited to someone confident working in a regulated lab environment who can contribute from day one.

The Role

n

We are looking for a number of organic/medicinal Chemistswith varying levels of tertiary qualifications (PhD, MSc or BSc (Hons) are all acceptable) to join our team to support our up‐and‐coming CRO linked projects on a 6 – 12 month full‐time basis.

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Conducting synthetic organic chemistry/chemistry research within a range of CRO projects
n
- Performing purification of materials to required qualities and standards
n
- Carrying out analytical and quality control processes, encompassing NMR, HPLC, GC, UV‐Vis, FT‐IR, and other in‐house techniques as appropriate
n
- Hands‐on laboratory work
n

Skills & Experience

n

A tertiary qualification (PhD, MSc or BSc (Hons)) in organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry,



or a closely related discipline is essential. Relevant postdoctoral or industry experience is highly desirable

n

- Hands‐on experience in synthetic organic and/or medicinal chemistry, including compound purification and analytical characterisation techniques is required
n
- Robust written and verbal communication skill and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate scientific concepts and results clearly to colleagues
n
- High attention to detail and a conscientious approach to work including flexibility, adaptability, responsiveness and the ability to work effectively and collaboratively with others
n
- Effective time management and organisational skills including the ability to maintain accurate laboratory records, manage multiple priorities and document experimental work to a high standard
n
- Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
n
- Reliable and punctual
n
