Complete Opening Systems Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Industrial/commercial Roller Shutter, Automatic Door and Gate Technician to join our team in Sunbury, VIC. This is a full-time position offering a rewarding career in a dynamic and growing industry. You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of roller shutters, automatic doors and gate systems for both commercial and residential clients. This role is integral to delivering exceptional service and maintaining our reputation for quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. This is primarily a field-based role, with work conducted at client sites throughout the local area.

Key responsibilities

Install, service and repair Industrial/Commercial roller shutter systems, including manual and motorised variants

Install, maintain and repair automatic door systems and operators for commercial and residential applications

Install, service and repair gate systems, including sliding, swing and barrier gates

Conduct diagnostic assessments to identify faults and determine appropriate repair solutions

Perform preventative maintenance on existing systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity

Respond to emergency service calls in a timely and professional manner

Provide technical advice and recommendations to customers regarding system upgrades and maintenance requirements

Maintain accurate job records, service reports and documentation

Ensure compliance with all relevant safety standards and building codes during installation and repair work

Work collaboratively with the team and management to meet project deadlines and maintain service standards

What we're looking for

Proven experience as a technician working with Industrial/Commercial roller shutters, automatic doors and/or gate systems

Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge relevant to opening systems

Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting technical faults

Competency in using hand and power tools safely and effectively

Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with clients

Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Physical fitness and ability to work at heights where required

Valid Australian driver's licence

A Grade Electrical licence (advantageous)

EWP, forklift licence

WWC check

Police check

Current First Aid certificate (advantageous)

Experience with commercial security systems (advantageous)
