ReportingdirectlytotheChiefFinancialOfficer,thisisabroadandcommerciallyfocusedrolespanningfinanceoperations,treasury,investments,taxationandfinancialcontrol.

AbouttheRole

n

YouwilltakeownershipofkeyFinanceoperationswhilepartneringcloselywithseniorstakeholdersacrossthebusiness.

n

Keyresponsibilitiesinclude:

n

n
- Managingtreasuryoperations,bankreconciliationsandcashforecasting.
n
- Managinginvestmentactivities,complianceandportfoliomonitoring.
n
- Managingreinsurancecollateralbalancesandreconciliations.
n
- Overseeingpremiumdebtors,ageddebtandprovisionsfordoubtfuldebts.
n
- Managingbrokercreditchecksandfinancialreconciliations.
n
- Reviewingmonth-endjournalsandsupportingfinancialreporting.
n
- Overseeingtaxationandregulatoryreturns,includingGST,FBT,PAYGandstampduty.
n
- Managingrelationshipswithexternaltaxadvisors,bankingandinvestmentpartners,andotherkeyserviceproviders.
n




- ProvidingguidancetoFinanceteammembersandsupportingtheCFOwithspecialprojectsandcontinuousimprovementinitiatives.

n

Abankingorfinancialservicesbackgroundisessentialforthisrole. Experiencewithininsurance,bankingoranotherregulatedfinancialservicesenvironmentwillbehighlyregarded.

Youwillideallyhave:

n

n
- CA/CPAqualificationandarelevantdegree.
n
- 5+years'experienceinprogressivelyseniorFinanceroles.
n
- Strongcommercialaccountingexperience.
n
- Exposuretoinsuranceaccounting,reinsurance,investments,claims,reserving,capitalandriskmanagementishighlydesirable.
n
- Experienceworkingwithauditors,regulators,taxationbodies,bankingandinvestmentproviders.
n
- StrongExcel,analyticalandnumericalskills.
n
- Excellentstakeholdermanagementandcommunicationskills.
n
- Aproactive,commerciallymindedapproachwithstrongattentiontodetail.
n
- BigFourexperiencewillbeviewedfavourably.
