SNAP Programs Limited is a leading not-for-profit organisation that provides support services in the Hunter, Newcastle and Central Coast regions. We support children, young people and adults with a disability, and/or who may display challenging behaviours. SNAP Programs Limited offer a wide range of services including SIL, Community Access, Respite, and Camps to name a few. We are seeking to employ casualSupport Workers(within the Central Coast region) who have experience working with children, young people and adults with complex and challenging behaviors to fill both short shifts (2-3 hours (mainly after school)) and/or longer shifts (4+ hours (which may include sleep overs)).

You will be supported by experienced House Managers and Head Office staff who have all adopted the person-centred approach.

We provide a safe, encouraging, supporting setting for the people we support, whether they are with us for a few hours, few months or a few years.

The Role

n

Support services to children,



young people and adults in the community and in SIL environments.

n

Following the case plans and behaviour support plans

n

Behaviour management

n

Medication management

n

Meal preparation

n

General housework

n

Current working with children (or willing to obtain)

n

Current NDIS workers clearance (or willing to obtain)

n

National Criminal History Check (within last 3 months or willing to obtain)

n

First aid certificate

n

Able to fill shifts at short notice

n

Caring, honest, reliable and resilient

n

Certificate 3 or higher (or willing to obtain)

n
