Civiltest Pty Ltd, a leading provider of geotechnical, construction materials and laboratory testing services across Australia, is looking for a Trainee Laboratory Soil Technician to join our Mornington team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career in the geotechnical and construction testing industry. No previous experience is required – full training will be provided. You'll gain hands-on experience in both the laboratory and field while working alongside experienced technicians on a variety of infrastructure, mining and construction projects.

Key responsibilities

n

n
- Assist with a range of laboratory and field soil testing, including moisture content, density, particle size distribution and Atterberg limits
n
- Prepare, test and record soil samples in accordance with Australian Standards and company procedures
n
- Learn to operate and maintain laboratory and field testing equipment
n
- Accurately record test results and assist with report preparation
n
- Support senior technicians with field investigations and site testing
n
- Follow company health, safety and quality procedures at all times
n




- Work as part of a supportive team while developing your technical skills
n

What We're Looking For

- No previous experience required – full training provided
n
- A genuine interest in engineering, construction or laboratory work
n
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
n
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work
n
- Positive communication and teamwork skills
n
- Ability to work both indoors in the laboratory and outdoors on project sites
n
- Current driver's licence is required
