Plant & Machinery Operator (Construction)

SouthCut Plant and Civil is seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our energetic team in Lang Lang, Victoria. As a Machine Operator, you will play a vital role in the smooth execution of our construction projects, operating a range of heavy machinery with precision and care.

What you'll be doing

n

Safely operate various heavy machinery, such as excavators, Posi tracks and trucks to complete a wide range of construction tasks

n

Perform pre-operational checks and routine maintenance on assigned equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety

n

Work closely with the construction crew to coordinate the efficient movement and placement of materials and equipment

n

Adhere to all relevant safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe work environment

n

Collaborate with the site supervisor to troubleshoot any operational issues and implement effective solutions

n

Contribute to the overall success of the construction project by delivering high-quality work within established timelines

n

Hands on work, helping all members on ground complete tasks such as installing drainage pipes, concreting pits, using hand tools and general ground duties to complete the job.

n

What we're looking for

n

Minimum 3 years of experience as a Machine Operator in the construction industry

n

Proficiency in operating a variety of heavy machinery,



such as excavators, Posi Tracks and bulldozers

n

Strong understanding of construction techniques, safety protocols, and environmental regulations

n

Excellent problem-solving and decision‐making skills to handle unexpected challenges on the job

n

Reliable, team‐oriented, and committed to delivering high‐quality work

n

Valid driver's licence and construction equipment operator's certificate

n

HR License (Non‐Synchro) HC is desirable.

n

Hands on approach that will be on the ground helping when not in a machine.
