Level 1 IT Support Technician – Field-Based

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Level 1 IT Support Technician to join a growing IT support team servicing a portfolio of clients.

This is a field-based, hands-on role and is ideal for someone early in their IT career who is eager to develop their technical skills, gain exposure to a broad range of technologies, and progress into more senior support and project-focused roles.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the IT support team, your responsibilities will include:

- Providing Level 1 technical support to a client base of private schools

- Managing and responding to support requests through ConnectWise

- Monitoring and supporting client environments using NinjaOne RMM

- Assisting with user access, documentation and credential management through IT Glue

- Supporting users across Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace

- Providing support for Apple devices and education environments

- Assisting with device management using JAMF and Microsoft Intune

- Troubleshooting hardware, software, network and end-user issues

- Providing responsive, professional and customer-focused support to school staff

- Escalating more complex technical issues to senior team members when required

- Maintaining accurate ticket notes and technical documentation

- Working closely with senior technicians and gaining exposure to a variety of technologies and IT projects

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

- 1–2 years of IT support experience , or relevant practical experience

- A relevant IT qualification or degree is preferred





- A genuine passion for technology and problem-solving

- A strong desire to learn, develop your technical skills and pursue industry certifications

- Excellent communication and customer service skills

- The ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team

- A professional and approachable manner when working with school staff and clients

- A willingness to work regularly on-site across Inner Eastern Suburbs.
