About The Role:

This position primarily focuses on providing support in the yard, truck bay, and warehouse operations. Additionally, the role includes forklift coverage during leave periods or peak activity times.

Primary Responsibilities:

Support yard, truck bay, and warehouse operations.

Provide forklift coverage during leave periods or peak activity times.

General Duties:

Unload and load trucks as they arrive at the depot.

Identify and report damaged stock or pallets to the leading hand.

Help maintain a protected and orderly facility environment.

Monitor temperatures of fridges/freezers within the depot.

Work closely with drivers to identify any potential fatigue issues.





Please note in this role you will be required to back up trucks and trailers on to loading docks when required and must have the relevant skills and licences to operate a tug truck.

About You:

You will have a minimum of 1 year of experience in a warehouse environment and ideally some experience in the transport industry. You can work autonomously as well as part of a team. You understand how to prioritise tasks and maintain a customer-focused approach in your role.

To Be Considered for This Role, You Must:

Hold a current forklift license.

Have experience operating a tine forklift.

Demonstrate the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively.

Work well independently and under pressure.

Be able to work well with others.

Preferred but Not Essential:

Previous experience in refrigerated transport.

Previous experience within the transport industry.
