Job Description

Programmed Skilled Workforce is currently seeking an experienced and safety-focused Plant Operator for an opportunity based in Holbrook, NSW.

This role will involve operating a range of plant and equipment to support the construction, maintenance and operation of Council infrastructure, including road construction and maintenance activities.

n

About the Role

n

Reporting to the Road Construction Ganger, your responsibilities will include:

n

n
- Operating Council plant and equipment as directed across various projects.
n
- Assisting with the construction and maintenance of roads, pavements and Council infrastructure.
n
- Completing daily plant inspections, servicing and routine maintenance in accordance with manufacturer requirements and Council procedures.
n
- Operating plant and equipment safely and in accordance with relevant statutory requirements.
n
- Assisting with traffic control and maintaining safe traffic flow around work sites.
n
- Installing signage and roadside furniture where required.
n
- Completing daily plant checks, timesheets and other required documentation.
n
- Undertaking other duties and training as directed.
n

To be considered for this position, you will require:

n

n
- Current WorkCover Construction Industry Induction Card (White Card).
n
- Current HR Driver Licence.
n
- Demonstrated understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
n




- Ability to follow work instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
n
- A basic understanding of road construction plant and equipment.
n

n

Desirable Skills and Experience

n

Candidates with plant tickets and demonstrated experience operating the following equipment will be highly regarded:

n

n
- Backhoe
n
- Loader
n
- Excavator
n

n

Experience in road construction, road maintenance, operating plant and equipment, and working around live traffic environments will also be highly regarded.

n

This is a hands-on outdoor role that may involve working in a range of weather conditions and environments. The role includes regular physical activity, operating machinery and equipment, and working across various sites within the Council area.
