Restaurant & Training Manager – Kiki's Tavern

Kiki's Tavern is a brand-new all-day hospitality venue in the heart of South Yarra, and we're looking for an experienced Restaurant & Training Manager to join our leadership team for an immediate start.

n

This is a hands‐on management role for someone who loves being on the floor, developing people and creating exceptional hospitality.

n

You'll play a key role in establishing the service standards and culture of Kiki's — leading the restaurant day‐to‐day while taking ownership of the training and development of our front‐of‐house team.

Role

n

Working closely with the Venue Manager and senior leadership team, you'll be responsible for:

n

- Leading busy restaurant services and maintaining a solid presence on the floor
n
- Training, coaching and developing our FOH team
n
- Implementing and maintaining Kiki's service standards and procedures
n
- Running structured onboarding and training for new employees
n
- Developing the team's knowledge across food, wine, cocktails and general hospitality
n
- Conducting pre-service briefings and ongoing on‐the‐floor coaching
n
- Ensuring every guest receives warm, professional and consistent service
n
- Supporting rostering, labour management and daily venue operations
n
- Identifying future leaders within the team and helping develop them
n
- Working closely with the kitchen and bar teams to deliver seamless service
n
- Helping build a positive,



accountable and high‐performing workplace culture

About You

n

We're looking for someone with strong restaurant management experience who genuinely enjoys developing people.

n

You'll ideally have:

n

n
- Experience as a Restaurant Manager, Assistant Venue Manager, FOH Manager or similar senior hospitality role
n
- A strong background in high‐volume, quality restaurants or premium hospitality venues
n
- Excellent service standards and attention to detail
n
- Confidence leading and training a large FOH team
n
- Strong food, wine and beverage knowledge
n
- The ability to coach people constructively and hold the team accountable to standards
n
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
n
- A hands‐on approach — you're happiest leading from the floor rather than managing from the office
n
- A genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences
n
