Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Full-Time Compounding Pharmacy Technician to join our team in a long term basis .

Applicants must have previous experience working as a Pharmacy Technician in a pharmacy or previous hands-on compounding experience within a pharmacy setting.

n

Experience in an Australian compounding pharmacy is highly desirable, however additional training in our compounding processes and procedures will be provided to the successful applicant.

n

Please note: This position is specifically for an experienced Pharmacy Technician/Compounding Technician. It is not a pharmacist position and is not suitable for applicants whose experience is solely as an overseas-qualified pharmacist without pharmacy technician or pharmacy compounding experience.

Compounding Technician

About the Role

n

The role involves the preparation of compounded pharmaceutical products and may include:

n

- Preparing and filling capsules and syringes
n
- Milling and preparing creams and ointments
n
- Weighing and mixing raw materials and ingredients
n
- Preparing pharmaceutical formulations and batches
n
- Following compounding procedures, formulas and quality-control processes
n
- Maintaining accurate documentation and records
n

n

The position also includes laboratory and stockroom responsibilities such as:

n

n
- Inventory and stock control
n
- Safety Data Sheet (SDS) management
n
- Quality-control procedures and documentation
n
- Restocking raw materials and laboratory supplies
n
- Waste management
n
- Washing laboratory glassware and equipment
n
- Cleaning equipment and workstations
n
- Maintaining a clean, organised and hygienic laboratory environment
n
- Other duties as directed by the Laboratory Supervisor
n

We are looking for someone who is reliable, organised, detail-oriented and comfortable working in a busy laboratory environment. Accuracy and the ability to consistently follow procedures are essential.

n Monday to Friday
n 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
n Full-time position
