Purpose of the Position

To deliver all necessary Smallgoods products such as pork, ham and salami to warehouses (local and regionally), supermarkets, deli`s and food distributors. The driver must carry a valid Heavy Rigid (HR) Manual License.

Responsibilities

Deliver stock to all Victorian warehouses in areas such as the Peninsular, Traralgon, Bendigo, Geelong, Albury and local Metropolitan Melbourne.

Loading trucks safely prior to travels and unloading products upon arrival at the depot.

Ensuring document control of orders of which destination specific meats need to be delivered to.

Driving over 100km must be recorded into the logbook.





Occasionally a jockey driver may assist if workload increases and/or if long distance travelling is required.

Liaise with Logistics Team to coordinate services or maintenance of vehicles.

Ensuring all vehicles are washed and cleaned accordingly after a day`s work.

Ensure a pallet jack is kept is always kept in the truck to help assist with unloading the stock.

Understanding OHS procedures of manual handling and driving within the speed limit.

Experience and Knowledge

4-5 years' experience in a similar role.

Heavy Rigid Truck License (key essential).

Ability to drive manual trucks.

Ability to work independently and in a team workplace.

Excellent communication skills to collaborate to key clients and distributors.

Flexibility and attention to detail.
