Our client is an established Australian technology company, delivering cutting-edge technology around the world. They have an exciting opportunity for a DevOps Engineer to join asap during a busy project period.

The role
n The DevOps Engineer will work closely with development and infrastructure teams to scope, build and support the environments required to deliver the project. This is broader than a pure CI/CD or build role - you'll act as an significant bridge between application development and infrastructure, helping determine where issues sit and working across teams to resolve them. A significant portion of the role will involve Infrastructure as Code, building and maintaining Azure environments and deployment pipelines, while also working across networking, security, architecture and customer requirements.

Responsibilities

- Build, maintain and enhance Azure environments using Terraform Infrastructure as Code
n
- Develop and maintain deployment pipelines through Azure DevOps
n
- Deploy and manage applications across Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) using Kubernetes and Helm Charts
n
- Work across Azure infrastructure including virtual machines, databases, private networking and associated cloud services
n
- Troubleshoot complex application and environment issues, working across development and infrastructure teams to identify root causes and implement solutions
n
- Work closely with infrastructure, networking and security specialists to define technical requirements and manage delivery risks
n




- Contribute to cloud architecture discussions and translate high-level requirements into practical technical solutions
n
- Ensure environments meet appropriate network security, firewall and security-control requirements
n
- Participate in technical workshops with customers and external stakeholders, including networking and security teams
n
- Support project implementation from initial scoping through to deployment into customer environments

About you

n

To be successful in this role, you will need the following:

n

n
- Solid previous experience as a DevOps Engineer
n
- Advanced experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code
n
- Experience with Helm Charts and containerised application deployments
n
- Strong experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
n
- Good understanding of cloud networking, private networks, virtual machines, databases, firewalls and security controls
n
- Strong troubleshooting skills across both application and infrastructure layers
n
- Experience working in secure, regulated or government environments will be highly regarded
n
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work across developers, infrastructure, networking, security and external customer teams
n
- Flexibility to occasionally attend later meetings with international stakeholders, with flexible working arrangements available around these requirements
n
