Chef Nadia's Cafe Blacktown is looking for an experienced Chef to join the team. Duties to be performed:

n

- Planning menus, study each recipe and gather all necessary ingredients
n
- Estimate food/menu costs and manage the budget
n
- Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
n
- Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures
n
- Preparing and cooking food in a timely manner
n
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area
n
- Hire, train and manage kitchen staff
n
- Check freshness of food and monitor food stock
n
- Manage the stocks levels and the orders
n
- Prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items for cooking in broilers,



ovens, grills, fryers and a variety of other kitchen equipment.
n
- Delegate tasks to kitchen staff
n
- Ensure appealing plate presentation and assume responsibility for the quality of products served.
n

Requirement

n

n
- Relevant Qualification or 3 years of experience in lieu of the qualification.
n
- At least 1 year of experience in the relevant role.
n
- Management skills, attention to detail and be able to work under pressure (independently and within a team).
n

Position: Full Time (at least 38 hours per week) Location: 17 Patrick St, Blacktown NSW 2148 Salary: $79,000 – 90,000 per year
